As a Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the overall supply chain management. Responsibilities include purchasing, organising and monitoring storage, and distribution of goods. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction within the company.

Key responsibilities and duties of the role

  • Strategically plan and manage purchasing, warehouse and transportation across Five sites.
  • Implement a complete supply chain management system.
  • Optimise and coordinate the purchase order cycle for both stock and project-specific items.
  • Responsible for the full stock control across all five distribution outlets, including stock takes and communicating errors and improvements with Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders.
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, including building relationships (which will include occasional travel in the UK).
  • Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess supplier performance and implement improvements.
  • Ensuring all orders are expedited and checked to ensure they will be arriving within the agreed time scale.
  • Keep accurate records of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, efficiency and regional variations.
  • Warehouse management including arranging the warehouse, stores and process shipments.
  • You are overseeing returns, backorders and supplier deliveries.
  • To manage supplier warranty claims, including keeping a log of time and the problems.
  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
  • Quality controls, to be completed correctly and completely
  • To collect, manipulate and analyse data to meet Nutrivend’s information requirements.
  • Supplier liaison and confirmation of rebate amounts
  • Instigating invoicing of rebates
  • Rebate forecasting and information sharing with finance
  • Re-evaluation/ Variance of warehouse stock (utilising SQL and excel) from standard pricing
  • Standard pricing file management in ERP and adhoc changes
  • Producing PPV (Product price variation) reports, against both invoiced pricing and standard pricing
  • Delivery of information via various media including, SSRS, standard reports, excel spreadsheets, KPI packs, and dashboards, including graphs and charts. Detailing the significant results deduced.
  • Identifying and supporting action on opportunities to improve further the procurement function and opportunities to increase profitability.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and validate and quality check data used. Highlight to the business users and management, practices that are causing data errors, inaccuracies or inconsistencies and work with internal departments to act on appropriate changes
  • Support the finance and operations team in improving key business areas
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and data extracts as required.
  • Ensure that all reports and extracts are correctly catalogued, named, filed and archived and available as required.
  • Day to day management of the ERP and WM Systems
  • Any other reasonable tasks as required by your line manager or the business

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications

  • Purchasing & Supply Chain experience
  • Negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of cost savings
  • Implementing processes and controls
  • Leadership qualities highly desirable
  • Warehouse management
  • CIPS Qualification (desirable)
  • Competent in MS applications and intermediate in Excel
  • Experienced / understanding of ERP transactional systems in the area of Purchase to Pay a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of data extraction using SQL & SSRS
  • Must be self-reliant and able to communicate effectively, both internally and externally with customers and suppliers to gather requirements and understand processes.
  • Interest in data analysis and report writing
  • Ability to learn datasets quickly and quantify technical findings in an easy to understand manner to the stakeholders.

  • Experience of using Microsoft PowerBI, alternatively a desire to learn and develop an understanding?
