Role Purpose

This role is the Team Member 4, Facilities South – ‘Facilities Coordinator’ and has responsibility for the management of facilities at a base location alongside a number of depots and sites in a specified geographical area. The role requires the supervision of a number of staff who work as Facilities Operations Assistants on site and has key accountabilities in ensuring that assets with your area and the infrastructure on site is fit for purpose and a safe, productive and pleasant place for the staff onsite to work from. The role sits within a discreet team of other professionals responsible for the management of facilities at key offices, depots and visitors centres within a designated hub in South Wales. There is a strong focus within the team on providing excellent customer service to both internal staff and visitors to our buildings. A significant part of your role would see you coordinate a front of house service to these customers alongside the management and supervision of maintenance and operations onsite.

Qualifications and Skills

Whilst these are preferential qualifications and skills, there is a commitment to training and developing staff to achieve the following;

  • Level 4 qualification in Facilities Management or similar.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety management relating to the Health and Safety at work act.
  • Qualified or working towards qualification of NEBOSH,IOSH or similar H&S qualification.
  • Experience of delivering both hard and soft Facilities services within a built environment to include:
  • Experience of co-ordinating work within a facilities environment to include:
  • Good understanding of using a Finance system and other software / applications to meet the requirements of your area of responsibility.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate confidently, with excellent customer service skills
  • Good inter-personal skills with the ability to work under pressure using your own. initiative in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good IT and accurate data entry skills.
