SSE is launching a new community-based Domestic Sales business providing a personalised and consultative approach to promoting and selling energy-related products and services. It’s also an excellent opportunity to help us deliver an industry-leading customer service experience, in keeping with SSE’s commitment to build customers’ trust in energy supply, as well as sustainable customer growth and revenue.
As a Smart Services Advisor, you’ll engage and consult with people showing them how to make the best use of our products and services.
You should have previous experience in an account management role and a strong background in customer service and sales. Knowledge of energy efficiency and renewable products would be to your advantage. But networking is important too, so you’ll need to be at ease communicating with people and building effective working relationships within communities.
You should have a good level of general education to GCSE/Standard Grade, or equivalent, and be comfortable using a mobile computer or tablet device. You should also be familiar with forms of social media, such as Twitter and LinkedIn.
Safety is one of our key priorities so you should have the ability to risk assess activities throughout your working day and to work within our Health and Safety guidelines. You should also be resilient, organised, confident and enthusiastic. As you’ll be travelling to different areas within the community a full driving licence is essential. You should also have a flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend working will be required.
