Job Elements: -
• The Electronics Engineer will design, develop and maintain electronic and software systems
• The key role is the design and development of high volume consumer electronic systems. The product is a digitally controlled, high voltage and high power output circuit.
• Work with the senior electronics engineer and help design / develop the power electronics, digital and analogue aspects of the circuitry.
• Ensure that electronic products are designed and tested in accordance with company and regulatory procedures.
• Management of external suppliers in the design of custom components and in the transfer to production.
• Implementation of cost reduction programmes.
• Reliability and regulatory testing of products (EMC, electrical safety), including submissions to external regulatory bodies.
• Investigation of field issues and implementation of corrective actions.
• Selection of components and approval of alternative suppliers
The ideal candidate will have:
• HNC/HND in electronic engineering.
• Experience of high volume consumer electronic product design – including power, digital and analogue circuitry.
• Experience of EMC and safety testing to consumer standards.
• Experience of working to high level quality standards.
• Microsoft Office.
• Microsoft Project.
• Use of electronic test equipment.
• Soldering skills.
• Experience of PCB layout.
