Job Title: Contract PHP Web Developer.
Contract Length: 3 Months.
Based: Commutable from locations across South Wales - Cardiff, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran, Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd, Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, Port Talbot or Swansea.
Rate: c.£240-300.00 per day, negotiable dependent upon experience and portfolio/examples.
Start Date: January 2012.
We are currently working alongside a successful, ambitious and growing organisation in their search for an experienced and professional contract PHP Web Developer to join their team here in South Wales. Working on a challenging project which will require a strong blend of both creativity and technical competence, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to make an impact.
With regard to this exceptional new project opportunity, we anticipate that the successful applicant will be tasked with the following tasks and activities:
*to design and develop quality software.
*be responsible for developing front-end web interfaces for a variety of new projects.
*work closely with the customer to assess their requirements and understand the key needs of the project and then play a key role in the delivery of such a project.
*to develop, test and maintain these application interfaces over their lifecycle.
We anticipate that the successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience to prove successful within this exceptional new contract opportunity:
*a proven track record of web application development and the ability to demonstrate this in a professional portfolio of your existing work.
*experience of deveIoping functional web applications that call back-end processing routines to get or generate results(with an attractive interface). This might be a booking system, timetabling application, price comparator.
*have proven commercial experience with the following technologies - PHP, MySQL and Javascript/JQuery.
*we anticipate that you might have some commercial experience with some of the following technologies - HTML 5, XML, Ruby/Rails and CSS.
*beneficial would be any experience or knowledge of Linux/Apache, Subversion/CVS, Agile, Sybase/SQL Server databases.
*a pride in producing slick, intuitive interfaces and be focused on application performance.
