The idea was born when they found that current 'mystery shop' companies were providing only limited mystery shop services in local areas. The Bares wanted to set up a company that would make consistent services available at a national level. Originally called "Restaurant & Hotel Services" (RHS), the company's base was in the hospitality industry. For many years, Restaurant and Hotel Services provided Mystery Shop Guests and Integrity Audits to hotel and restaurant chains across the USA.
In 1999, RHS became Bare Associates International, based upon the addition of an overseas office in Antwerp, Belgium. Since then, BARE has grown exponentially in the global marketplace. Now, in addition to the Antwerp, Belgium office, BARE has offices in cities around the world including: Mumbai, India; Shanghai, China; Sao Paulo, Brazil; London, England and Paris, France. On any given day, BARE International is doing business for clients in over 100 countries thus completing over tens of thousands of mystery customer visits per month.

By joining BARE International's ever growing family this can all be possible. Mystery shopping is the tool used by BARE International and other companies to measure quality of retail service or gather specific information about products and services.
Mystery shoppers posing as normal customers perform specific tasks such as purchasing a product, asking questions, following specific scenarios and then provide detailed reports or feedback about their experiences. You will be asked to mystery shop in all sectors, from simple phone calls and high street retail visits to luxury accommodations and transport.
Skills and Experience
Reliability - This is our most prized quality. If you are reliable and trustworthy you will be noticed and you will receive more work. Especially deadlines are very important for us.
Eye for detail - You will be required to spot and look for a lot of small details. Report what you see and if you do not remember something, go back.
Flexibility - You will need to adjust to different types of scenarios and will need to respect specific project-related timings.
Anonymous - We will ask you to not reveal yourself as a mystery shopper. It is vital that you act as a normal customer and that you do not take any notes during your assessment.
English language - You will need to interact with staff in stores, and write detailed comments in your reports. Therefore, you need to have a good command of both spoken and written English.
