Main Responsibilities
Our local client, a leading IT consultancy who provide services to their clients across the UK, are looking for an application support analyst to join their growing team.
The right candidate will be capable of providing 1st line support for their bespoke in-house application for their UK customer base. It is vital that you have had prior experience in Software / Application Support for this one, please note, it is not a normal helpdesk support position. We are looking for people who have already supported large software programs or have worked in inbound support call centres.
The main responsibilities include:
Booking calls made to the Helpdesk for support on issues with software
Investigating issues using my clients Software and Microsoft Sql Server 2005 to resolve them.
Ensuring that calls and customer are updated daily.
Providing application support, reporting, prioritising, analysing and resolving faults to resolution and escalating any issues to 2nd line, the development team or management.
Skills and Experience
You should have experience in:
Empathising with customers, understanding their needs and strong communication skills
Prior experience in a software/application support role, 1st/2nd line Application Support Experience
The ability to learn new applications and technologies
Analytical thinking, information seeking, problem solving skills and relationship management
Technically, an understanding of SQL Server would be extremely desirable - commercial or academic is fine.
We feel this role should be commutable from Bridgend, Port Talbot, Neath, Llanelli and Swansea.
